Certificate for International Academic Exchange

Edoardo Quilici

Queen’s University, home of Smith School of Business, has a rich academic tradition dating back to 1841. Located in Kingston, Ontario, Smith School of Business is consistently ranked among Canada’s very best business schools.

At Smith School of Business, our mission is to develop outstanding leaders with a global perspective and create new knowledge that advances business and society. Smith maintains international exchange partnerships with over 135 respected business schools in over 40 regions and welcomes more than 350 international exchange students annually.

To earn this credential, exchange students spend a term (four months) at Queen's participating in the Mater of International Business Exchange Program, benefitting from Smith’s distinctive features: exceptional learning atmosphere, personal attention, highly engaged faculty, and a powerful sense of community. Graduate students experience a demanding, dynamic learning environment. Areas of interest can include entrepreneurship, social impact, investment banking, accounting, marketing, consulting, international business, human resources and more.

Students are introduced to the Canadian culture through classroom and non-academic experiences. Many classes include team-based project work and challenges, living business cases, and simulations. Students foster personal capacity in leadership, teamwork, cultural intelligence, resilience, communication, and presentation. Through Smith’s International Exchange Programs, students increase their global awareness and take their learning both in and outside of the classroom into their future educational and career achievements.
