Smith’s Career Advancement Centre is an industry leader in partnering with students to successfully manage their careers post-graduation and beyond. Smith graduate students have the option of enrolling in our Career Management Foundations (CMF) program - a comprehensive, self-directed, asynchronous course that covers all the critical topics of career management, including personal brand, resume and job search strategy.
Each of the 8 online modules helps students to prepare for the next step in their professional career, and includes the following activities to support their learning:
- instructional videos
- interactive content with structured exercises
- comprehension checks
- templates, worksheets and resource documents
- access to additional external digital content
In order to earn the Career Management Foundations badge, each student must complete the following:
1. All 8 CMF modules (each taking between 2 to 4 hours to complete all activities)
2. Achieve 100% on the formative assessment at the end of each module
3. Attend a minimum of 70% of the master classes offered
4. Attend a minimum of two (2), 1:1 career coaching appointments
